The first camera I picked up was my mother’s old Pentax film camera when I was 15.   I was immediately addicted.  I loved seeing the world through the lens and having the ability to save that image on film.  Photos from my childhood are infinitely important to me now. They reaquaint me with my grandparents and mother, who have been gone for years, help me remember the magical games my sister and I played, and remind me of all of the animals we had on the farm where I grew up.  Nowadays they show how my amazing daughter has grown and all of the cakes we have made together and tiaras we wear while dancing (and my husband with a stuffed toy on his head, but that’s another story).

My goal with photography is to portray the world in an unexpected, artistic way, to provide images that will show you your life when you look back at them years from now and make you feel what you felt then.   Emotion, connection, beauty, truth, family, play, things that transcend time and tell you who you really are.

I specialize in portrait, wedding and event photography.   I have worked with the Discovery Channel to document Curiosity Retreats at Gateway Canyons Resort, and have photographed Western Colorado locals for Connect For Health Colorado.    Your shoot will be relaxed and creative and fun.   Your special day is in good hands.
